After a successful first day at the European Higher Education Fair (EHEF), the KTH alumni gathered at Marché Restaurant in Grand Indonesia to officially launch the KTH Alumni – Chapter Indonesia. The community itself is intended to serve as a networking and promoting tool among KTH alumni in Indonesia through regular meet-ups and occasional events.
Since Jakarta’s traffic can be tricky even on Saturdays, most of us couldn’t make it on time and hence the event took place an hour late. At 7 pm, around 15 people showed up, hence Sofia Tatis, our elegant Alumni Relations Manager, started the run-down by welcoming us and explaining the purpose of this meeting. Then, Professor Anders Hult, who is the Director of International Affairs in South East Asia, delivered a presentation about KTH and the Alumni Network. At the end of the presentation, the new-established steering committee presented themselves: Maritza Carlson, Annisa Rahmani Qastharin, Ria Noviari Butarbutar, Laili Aidi, and Andika Pradana.
Following the presentation, a formal agreement is signed between KTH and the new chapter, to officially mark a new beginning for this community. So now, there are 10 KTH Alumni Chapters world-wide (and still counting)!
Last but not least, we enjoyed our delightful dinner at the restaurant while chatting to each other, sharing our experiences, our dreams, remembering the old times, and laughing on silly jokes.
Thank you KTH for letting us study there, for sure it affected our lives in different ways, and we hope that this Alumni Chapter can grow bigger and stronger in the future!
